The format is sacred: welcome on Friday, event on Saturday, farewell in town or on the lake on Sunday. The good dates fly — dry-season Saturdays (November through May) and holiday weekends are reserved 12 months out. Sort lodging and local transportation early: the town is walkable, but venues tend to be 10–20 minutes away by car, and the mountain night calls for an enclosed tent or heaters.
